We are proud to be product sponsors for Bloodhound SSC and were keen to be involved in the project wherever possible.

The Bloodhound SSC is a land vehicle designed to reach supersonic speeds, powered by a jet engine to set the new world record for land speed. A project such as this needs high-quality and reliable components to ensure everything is working at optimum performance. We were able to help with the manufacture of components for the fin assembly, upper chassis and lower chassis, as well as providing the assembly tooling.

The upper chassis was manufactured using aluminium ribs, with titanium stringers running along the length of the chassis. A rolled titanium skin was riveted over the top, with orange skin pins holding everything in place while it’s drilled off ready for riveting.
